Payment Policy:
Reservations at Te Mata Views Resort constitute a contract between the resort and the individual named on the reservation. This reservation is non-transferable, and the named individual must occupy the site or unit for the duration of the stay. They are responsible for all occupants and visitors associated with that site or unit. For group bookings, one designated person will be held accountable for the group's behavior and any damages incurred.
Please note that rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. Minimum stay requirements and peak rates apply during busy periods, including school holidays, public holidays, and events in Hawke's Bay. All quoted rates are per night and include GST. Management reserves the right to correct any pricing errors, whether verbal or written.
Site and unit assignments are at the discretion of management, who may alter or cancel a booking as necessary. To confirm a booking, a deposit of either one night or 50% of the total stay (whichever is greater) is required. For reservations of one night, a full deposit is necessary. Reservations are only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit and subsequent confirmation via email.
The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to arrival. A 3% fee applies for payments made by credit or Visa/Mastercard debit cards. Our preferred payment method is via internet banking: Kiwi Bank 38 9025 0175836 00. Please reference your reservation number. A powered site request incurs an additional fee of $5 per site per night. If you arrive outside of office hours, the full balance must be settled before your arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will incur a charge of 50% of the booking value or one night's stay (whichever is greater). Cancellations made outside of 30 days will incur a fee of $80 per unit/site cancelled. For group bookings (three units/sites or more), cancellations within 42 days of arrival will incur a charge of 100% of the booking value or one night's stay (whichever is greater). Cancellations outside of 42 days will incur a fee of $90 per unit/site cancelled.
Exceptions to this policy include non-refundable dates from December 24th to January 14th annually, public holiday weekends, and during major Hawke's Bay events (e.g., Mission concert). Amendments to bookings may be made at management's discretion outside of non-refundable dates. If an amendment results in a shortened stay or reduced guest numbers, it will be treated as a cancellation, and no refunds will be issued for early departures or late arrivals.
The standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings, regardless of COVID-19 considerations.
Bond/Cash Payment:
A valid photo ID is required at check-in. A valid credit card must be kept on file, or a cash bond of $200 is required at check-in for all bookings made directly or through platforms like Expedia or Booking.com with virtual credit cards. No credit will be offered for cancellations of units/sites. Management reserves the right to charge for any damages or additional cleaning required. Any breach of resort rules may result in cancellation of tenancy without a refund. There is an additional $5 charge per night for powered and non-powered site requests.
Child Policy:
Children aged 1-13 years are classified as children, while infants under 1 year of age stay free of charge. All individuals aged 14 years and older are considered adults.
Check-In Policy:
A credit card will be held for any damages, missing items, or costs related to beverages and food. This property is privately owned, and management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to valuables on the property.
You are responsible for your visitors, who must vacate the property by 6 PM. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
